Happy to meet you!
Allow me to introduce myself and to start by saying that I view having the ability to offer support and serve others from a therapeutic perspective is not only an honor, but a privilege. My passion is working with those Dual Diagnosis (substance use disorder/mental health) but have worked with various other populations. Through Holistic, Evidence Based, Person – Centered, Relational, Strengths – Based, and Solution Focused Approaches from a Trauma Informed Care perspective, my aim is to walk beside you through your own personal journey of recovery. Being in recovery myself I know and have seen firsthand that healing and recovery from both mental health and substance use is possible.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2020, becoming licensed in the same year, and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Social Work through Indiana Wesleyan University. I entered the field of Social Work in 2016 working in Victims Services where Trauma Informed Care and Cultural Humility served as strengths and guideposts to working with all of my clients, and I continue to utilize these concepts to this day.
Some of my preferred methods of therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to name a few. However, it is my own personal goal to tailor approaches to my clients personal needs to empower them to reach their goals.
