“When you can’t look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark.” – The Mad Hatter
I like to help my clients find themselves and teach them new ways to find and use their empowerment to create change in their lives. We face many challenges and struggles in life, and I love being there to help each individual navigate through those and learn to live a normal life with mental illnesses. I am a huge advocate in being unapologetically yourself, and sometimes we just need a little guiding hand in figuring out who that is.
In the past, I have worked with teens with mental health challenges and addictions and now I also work with adults. I enjoy utilizing person/client-centered therapy to help the individual realize and find their own power and potential to effectively help themselves, with me being there beside them along the journey. I also enjoy utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
I have obtained my bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Kentucky, and I am currently working as a substance abuse counselor and a clinical social worker intern working towards my masters in clinical social work. My goal is to always be learning new things and gaining new knowledge to be able to water others’ cups and help them grow into the person they want to be.
I look forward to building relationships with each individual who trusts me to walk alongside them on their journey.
