  • Amber Huntzinger LSW, Telehealth

I am so happy you are here. Sometimes taking that first step in the therapeutic journey can be one of the hardest. I want to reassure you that you are in control during this journey. I view therapy as having an extra support person in your corner, someone to help guide and walk with you through your own journey of self discovery. While I may bring my knowledge as a tool, you bring your own experiences. You know yourself best! Therapy should be a joint effort between the two of us working together to help you move further in life. Sometimes we all get stuck and need a helping hand.

I believe each individual is unique and what may work for one won’t necessarily work for the other! I have a passion for helping those find their own voice and exploring different coping strategies that tailor best to you and what your needs are.

I graduated with my bachelors in social work in 2018 and obtained my LSW that same year. I have been providing therapy services for about four years. I have worked with foster youth, those involved in the juvenile court system, and provided outpatient services to those in middle school and high school. I have worked in rural, suburban, and urban settings. I am passionate about being updated as I can on how to best serve my clients, and therefore I decided to go back for my Masters in Social Work and will graduate this June with a focus on mental health and trauma from the University of Denver.

I have education and experience in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) and trauma informed care as well as other methods.

I am excited to start my journey with Momentum Counseling through Telehealth only and look forward to speaking with you!

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.”
